Sea Freight (Ocean Freight)

Sea freight is the most economical choice for large, heavy, or non-urgent shipments. It is the backbone of the China-Iraq trade route.

Service Options

  • FCL (Full Container Load): You book an entire container. This is best for large shipments that can fill a container. It offers more security and is cost-effective for bulk cargo.

  • LCL (Less than Container Load): Your cargo is consolidated with other shipments in one container. This is ideal for smaller shipments (e.g., under 15 CBM) as you only pay for the space you use.

Key Routes & Transit Time

  • Main Route: Cargo moves from major Chinese ports (e.g., Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen) to the key Iraqi port of Umm Qasr, often via a transshipment hub like Jebel Ali in Dubai.

  • Total Transit Time: Generally takes 25 to 40 days from door to door. This time includes the main ocean voyage, transshipment, and inland delivery in Iraq.
